The 180°
rule is where the camera can only move behind a set line (the 180°) so
the characters are always on the same side of the view
The camera has to stay behind this red line so the characters are always on the same side of the screen unless you show the characters switching sides.
Shot Reverse shot:
The shot
reverse shot is a 3 part shot where the first is called the shot the second
shot is the reverse so it is the same shot but it is the second persons view
and the third is back to the first.

it shows the character walking up to and opening a door from one angle and shows him walking through which is shot from a different angle
Continuity editing:
Continuity editing is
when a scene is shot in different angles and thy angles are edited into a
continuous sequence
The first shot shows
the character walking down a corridor towards the camera, the second shot shows
the character continuing to walk down the corridor which is filmed at a
different angle, walking away from the camera. This is filmed from 2 angles and
will be edited together to show he walked passed the camera.
This shot is filmed at
the end of the corridor and shows him walking through the door and the
following shot is filmed from the other side of the door, when the shots are
edited together it will show that the character has walked through the door.
