We used the camera, tripods and tapes.
Learnt how to set up and use the cameras, tripods and tapes, we then filmed a short sequence, in which I was a character, based on the storyboard drew in the lesson. I was in charge of the tripod in my group.

We used camera, tripod and tape again
We re-recorded some of out scene from last lesson and used imovie to import our scenes from the camera to the Macs and we have begun to edit our sequences.
What I would like to learn: I would like to learn about special effects and adding them to a sequence.

We were identifying the location time period and main characters of a movie from hints given in the opening sequence.
8/1/13
We were separated into groups and we begun to design our coursework, opening sequence of a film. We were asked to think of a genre of a movie and my group chose spy and action. We then designed storyboards and a script for the film opening that contains characters sound camera shots and location. We then had to write a basic overview of the movie so the actors we choose to play the characters knew what the movie is about.

We imported our shots to the macs from our cameras, sourced music and sound effects and begun to edit our video.
This is our progress so far.

Good to see some progress being made here in terms of filming footage but also editing it into your film opening. The chase is generally well-created in that it makes sense and is logical in it's editing plus there are a couple of nice shots that make it stand out as being interesting to watch, rather than just the same camera angles ever time.
ReplyDeleteTo improve: your initial few shots need much more pace adding to them; the shot walking towards school is very long and should be either cut right down or should have a different range of shots and angles added in to it (such as shots of feet as they walk, over the shoulder shots, maybe even the character walking toward the character and then over/under it) to make it more interesting to watch. Also, your genre isn't especially clear at the moment. You need to identify some key aspects of your chosen genre and include them as much as possible in your film opening to make it clear that you understand the genre. This can be easily achieved with editing and choice of music/sound effects.
Finally, there needs to be a clear display of group work in either the video, the editing and/or the blog posts. At the moment, there simply isn't and your group work needs to be much more visible.
